Texas has one of the worst animal overpopulation issues in the United States. Animal cruelty is an every day situation and Animal Advocates are exhausted! Law enforcement continues to fail to protect these animals against neglect, abuse and torture. 

Tonight a man was beating his dog with a belt on his balcony in plain sight. Hundreds of people swarmed together to call law enforcement and cruelty units and NOTHING was done. The animal was left in his care in a home he has children in. 

When it comes to murderers and serial killers, there is usually a connection to animal cruelty. We cannot continue to let Texas ignore its own laws. Spay and neuter need to be enforced to slow down the overpopulation and the likelihood of animals ending up in terrible hands. Enforcing laws is the only way we can start to make a change in Animal Welfare here in Texas. 

Letting animal abusers walk free with no consequences will only lead to more serious crimes, including crimes against children. By protecting our animals with harsher punishments we can potentially keep dangerous criminals locked up. PLEASE sign this petition and help us be their voices. Animals cannot speak for or defend themselves. We are their only hope. 

This awful situation is a chance to open law makers eyes to the cruelty we witness consistently with no aid from law enforcement.
