87th Texas Legislative Session: With HB3803 & SB1409, these bills are created to essentially remove a cities, town's, municipality and AHJ's choice of adopted code, by removing the IAPMO family of codes with the Uniform Plumbing Code - UPC in particular. This impacts generations of Texas Plumbers and in essence ALL Texas citizens who are accustomed to safe/healthy plumbing systems, devoid of life hazards: including potable water and sanitary sewer systems. The UPC is a code that has been adopted in Texas for decades. IAPMO has also supported the plumbing industry compellingly, especially in the 86th & 87th legislatures to ensure there is a continuance of the Plumbing Licensing Law in Texas. Please sign this petition to show the 87th Texas Legislature that you believe there is a huge need for the UPC - IAPMO in Texas and that HB3803 & SB1409 should die upon arrival and not be supported!
