The safety is a concern in these school districts, colleges around them are getting canceled but why aren’t these high school districts. Adding an extra week of spring break would give extra time for us just in case this outbreak gets worse. By the looks of it now, it is spreading constantly and becoming an pandemic and if it’s in this county why not cancel. We should not be sending kids to school when it’s spreading like this, it is just not safe and sanitary enough to have kids walking around in hallways touching each other or breathing on each other. We don’t know who could have this virus and we need to take safety precautions. It seems like we aren’t caring about our students enough to cancel school and if this virus enters these schools there will be much shame given by parents some staff and definitely students. We should act on this immediately and not wait until it hits these schools. For example Arlington High School is just a couple blocks away from UTA and UTA has cancel their on campus classes and will continue online, why can’t Arlington High do the same. Most importantly the surrounding Arlington schools should be added on to that cancel list, why not, it’s not like they aren’t in the same city. Mansfield ISD schools should take precaution as well because arlington isn’t that far away and it’ll be no matter of time until they have their first case of the virus and we don’t want that.
