Many High School Spring events are being cancelled without further competition or participation dates being rescheduled. While this outbreak is terrifying and we all need to do our part, parents and high school students would love the opportunity to compete and participate at later dates. 

Many high school seniors are in contention for scholarships, college admissions, and more. This will adversely affect their futures if we dont allow them the chance to finish their HS careers as they diligently worked for for so many years. Many spring sports were just beginning and are ending without allowing opportunities to seniors and juniors they need to play into the next level. 

Emotions are very high and these kids may not get the opportunity to go back to have a normal school year. We want the chance of their extra curricular commitments to ease some of these fears and give closure to those who have just weeks left to make memories. We understand no promises can be made but if a delay instead of a cancellation is possible, we would take that gratefully. 

Please postpone the seasons and competitions  rather than cancel them. Give students some hope that we can finish out these events even into the summer if this crisis passes and allows us to safely do so.
