History of the NorthWest Dallas Flood Control District ( Coppell,  TX )

1985 With encouragement of investors and real estate developers, the NorthWest Dallas Flood Control District (NWFCD)  is created by the State of Texas.  Approx. 925 taxpayers are in the NWFCD.

 1992 NWFCD is bankrupt. . Debt restructured to $8M.

 199x to 2015 NWDFCD is NOT transparent on financial situation to taxpayers

 2015 NWFCD debt has grown to over $15M

 Same NWDFCD Board members, who do not live in Coppell, since 2000

In 2015 the NWDFCD put a vote to the taxpayers to approve a $16M Bond. 

Therefore.. " We would like a formal hearing with the leadership of the State of Texas to investigate the financial history of the NorthWest Dallas Flood Control District."

We would like:

'Full transparency of the NorthWest Dallas County Flood Control District. eg: Board Election notification via Tax Billing' and

Require NWDFCD Board Members to have primary residence in the district and
Allow taxpayers to `buyout` without penalty and

Term limits on board members. Note, Current board members do not live in Coppell & been in place since 2000.
