Last week in our nation’s capital, Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman of New Jersey had her House Resolution 2116 heard on the House Floor. HR 2116 is the national version of the CROWN Act. The House passed HR 2116 on a vote of 236 ayes and 189 noes. From Texas, every single Republican Congress Member voted NO or did not cast a vote. 

HR 2116 now heads to the United States Senate where its ability to move forward is in doubts due to Republican opposition. As we move closer to the next legislative session in Austin in 2023, it is important that we continue to prepare to support the Texas CROWN Act.
