ATLANTA, TEXAS 3/1/22 the neighbors dogs MURDERED my 10 year old cat Shelby at my front door. This WILL STOP NOW. THE OWNER WELL SHE WATCHED IT HAPPEN AND DID NOTHING BUT WALK AWAY. This could have been a CHILD. My grandchild or anyones child. How do we know the behavior of any animal? Could these dogs attack a child in “play”? It doesn’t make it ok if the dogs have a “prey drive”. It’s someone’s PET and family member that was killed. And it’s not the first Incident. The dogs remained on the owners property as the animal control officer is out for surgery so the animals were not removed. Attacks were caught on camera yet owner was not charged with any charges. Owner also had outstanding warrants in another state yet was not picked up on those either. Unfortunately she has skipped town or changed locations from where she was staying. I have yet to get even an apology, never got to say one word to the owner, as she refused to answer the door for us. What I’m here to do is get justice for Shelby, and be the voice of the voiceless. I want to push change in how situations are handled within departments. I want to push for a Shelby’s Law, a law stating Any owner caught allowing their animal cause destruction of property or death to any animal shall be subject to fines, jail time and restitution. I I want to push that any person that allows their animal to injure or kill has to surrender that animal and are put on a registry where they are not allowed another animal for 5 years or indefinitely. If they are caught with another animal first offense a fine. Second jail time. That’s what we want to push for. CHANGE! In the mean time, I will fight tooth and nail till the owner gets charged with her actions, and change is made. Help be a part of this movement. BE THEIR VOICE!
