Ask Tesla to fix a noise issue affecting new Model Ys and Model 3s
The Issue
Tesla is currently using defective or low-quality water pumps and/or related components for the cooling system of some of their latest 2021 Model Y and Model 3 cars. Such components are causing a loud and continuous humming noise coming from the right-front of the car that can be heard from inside the cabin at a level of 40-50dB, regardless of the A/C being on or off. It can be triggered by just opening a door, opening the charging port, or by connecting to the vehicle via the Tesla App.
In spite of the fact that Tesla insists that the noise is normal, previously produced cars don’t have this problem, which affects the whole driving experience of a Tesla EV car. Most importantly, hundreds, if not thousands, of recent Tesla customers had test drives on previously built models that were completely quiet but ended up receiving cars that will never achieve that total quietness unless such components are replaced.
This problem is lowering the overall quality of the vehicles by making it more difficult for owners to resell them at a later date. It is also disappointing thousands of new Tesla owners that thought to receive a quiet electric car.

Help us push Tesla to replace the defective/low-quality components with the correct ones to keep its quality standards high as it always has been.
