As Tesla owners and responsible parents, we appreciate the cutting-edge technology and innovation that Tesla brings to the automotive industry. However, we believe there is a critical feature missing from Tesla’s vehicles: Parental Controls for Teen Drivers' In-Car Internet and Entertainment Access.

Tesla vehicles offer an unparalleled user experience with a built-in web browser, streaming services, and interactive features. While these technologies enhance the driving and passenger experience, they also allow unrestricted internet access and entertainment usage while parked, which can expose teen drivers to inappropriate content or excessive screen time without parental oversight. Unlike smartphones, tablets, or home computers, which allow parental control settings, Tesla does not currently offer any built-in restrictions for internet access and entertainment apps specifically for teen drivers.

We strongly urge Tesla to prioritize safety by implementing parental control features, such as:

1. The Ability to Turn Internet Access On or Off – Parents should have a simple toggle feature to enable or disable internet access for teen drivers.
2. Restrictions for the Web Browser – Parents should have the option to disable or set a PIN lock for the browser while the vehicle is in use.
3. Parental Locks for Streaming and Entertainment Apps – A feature that prevents teen drivers from accessing video streaming services without parental approval.
4. Time-Based Restrictions – A system that allows parents to set specific time limits on internet and entertainment usage while the vehicle is parked.
5. User Profiles with Teen Safety Settings – Customizable profiles that restrict internet access and entertainment options when a teen is the primary driver.
   Tesla has always been a pioneer in autonomous driving, AI technology, and safety innovations. Adding parental controls for teen drivers aligns with Tesla’s mission of making vehicles safer and smarter for all users.

By implementing these changes, Tesla will ensure that parents have greater control over their teen drivers’ digital experience, allowing them to manage screen time and internet usage responsibly.
