Hello to you all,

This is a brief note to wish you all a bright and peaceful start to the spring and an invitation to read my latest blog on wildlife conservation...

At the moment, it can feel like our usual ideas of time and time passing have melted away - I certainly feel that at times.

Many of us are missing our pre-pandemic routines and missing people in so very many ways too as the virus, and the fight against it, occupies the centre stage. Something that I am grateful for, however, is the time and space that so many people have found for reflecting on what we value and questioning ‘normality’.

Admittedly, this may sound somewhat vague… but I think that has been part of the power of this newfound quietness… the freedom to really explore all kinds of issues and ideas. For instance, although this year has been the first in the course of my life as a university student, I have had the time to really focus on my writing and my thoughts on our relationship with nature and the different forms that activism can take to create positive and progressive action.

In the past, I have contacted you all in relation to my writing for the SockStar Project and I would be overjoyed if you took a moment this Friday evening (perhaps outside or somewhere the sunlight can find you) to read my latest piece called ‘The Art of Wildlife Conservation’ (click here to take a look). I hope you find the discussion as thought-provoking as I found exploring the concept whilst writing.

As ever, sending you all love and thanks for your continued support. I will be in touch again soon.

Lucy xx
