Building a freeway on a new alignment to replace the current SR 132 West highway in Stanislaus County will consume hundreds of acres of the nations most fertile and productive farmland. In addition the increased automobile and truck traffic will further damage air quality in the San Joaquin Valley in California. The new freeway will cause suburban and commercial sprawl in western Stanislaus County that will consume thousands of acres of high quality farmland that can never be replaced.
