As many of you may have already heard, Governor McAuliffe not only halted the execution of Ivan Teleguz but also confirmed what I have been saying the last 8 years. Marsha Garst obtains high profile convictions based on lies. She told Ivan’s jury he was involved in another murder and that he was part of the Russian mafia with no concrete evidence. Marsha Garst instilled fear in Ivan’s jury by making them aware that he would have access to their names and contact information. Please note that every defendant has access to the jury’s contact information, regardless of the case. Garst did this in hopes of the jury giving Ivan the ultimate punishment: death. A defendant doesn’t receive due process (which the constitution mandates) when a prosecutor like Marsha Garst uses tactics to circumvent rights afforded to us for her own hidden agenda at the expense of destroying the lives of our loved ones and taking ours. Ivan Teleguz was days from being executed based on lies provided by Marsha Garst. Praise God for our Governor and his staff for stepping in and seeing right through her corrupt actions. Marsha Garst is not publicly speaking out because she knows the ramifications of Governor McAuliffe’s scathing words will most likely gain Ivan a new trial. This opens the door for my case and others she has prosecuted where the courts may finally look at the evidence and allow the truth to set us all free. Sadly, for those many lives lost over the last decade to execution by her hand, they will never get their day in court. We must all take a stand and be their voice. Please sign the petition below asking that the governor removes Marsha Garst from office on the basis that convictions she obtains are in question. Based on the announcement made by the governor, let us ask that he order an investigation be conducted into Garst’s cases starting with Donna Hockman to ensure justice is being done.
