Each year millions of animals are frightened and traumatized by the loud sounds from July 4th fireworks which take place in municipalities throughout the country.  Some pet owners purchase items like the ThunderShirt to calm and soothe their dogs and cats during this annual rite.  But there are so many more animals in parks, shelters and zoos who are left to suffer.  Let's ask Macy's, that orchestrates the country's largest and  most extravagant Independence Day Fireworks Celebration, to begin using silent fireworks during their annual fireworks display.   Companies and individuals around the world would follow their lead if they made this change. Silent fireworks are currently being used in Italy and should be used by everyone.
