The South Carolina senate has now passed the ‘Fetal Heartbeat’ and it is now going to the state House of Representatives, where republicans have a majority. SC Governor Henry McMaster has promised to sign it if it comes across his desk. This cannot happen! 

Everyone has the right to bodily autonomy, even corpses. We, as a global society, respect the basic right of other people’s bodies. No one should be allowed to use another persons body without their consent. This includes fetuses. This bill would immediately squash any ability of a woman having any say or control over HER body. Most women don’t recognize that they are pregnant until the 8th week after around 2 missed periods. This bill wouldn’t let abortions happen after the 6th week. Don’t sentence the child to a life of knowing that they are only here because of restrictive legislation. Don’t sentence the mother to going through tremendous pain, stress, and drain of having a baby she doesn’t want. Don’t sentence either of them to a life that they don’t deserve or want.

Please if you live in South Carolina call your representative, and demand that they do not pass this bill!!
