Terra Cafe with Love

Terra Cafe with Love
The Issue
“We are all that, We Need” Petition to Support live jazz in Baltimore City!
Terra Café is a Black Owned Business that offers a unique environment, via the Jerk Garden, to promote the beautiful and thriving art form of jazz. Students, legends of jazz, and jazz enthusiasts enjoy the Jerk Garden in an effort to support keeping the legacy of jazz alive in one of Baltimore’s premier neighborhoods.
Recently, live jazz at Terra Cafe has been threatened with a noise ordinance. This jeopardizes our voice in the community, threatens the support of the arts and music students involved, and, more importantly, puts at stake the opportunity to provide a safe venue in Baltimore’s rich community to continue to showcase Baltimore’s talent. Like the legendary Cab Calloway, Billie Holiday, Fertile Ground, Maysa, and countless other musical greats that originated right here in Baltimore, today’s musicians seek a platform from which to share their gifts. We, as the residents of the great Baltimore City, deserve a place to highlight our talents. Furthermore, Terra Cafe provides economic support to our residents with employment opportunities, business consulting, and an extraordinary example of what the best of Baltimore has to offer.
Our community needs your help in keeping Terra Cafe open with the ability to continue to provide live jazz in the Jerk Garden. Please sign below showing support for Terra Cafe and Owner Terence Dickson. We want live jazz to stay!
