We, the concerned residents and community members of McCall, Idaho are writing this petition to express our deep concerns regarding the practices of Probation & Parole Officer [REDACTED]. It has come to our attention that his actions may not align with the core values and mission of the Idaho Department of Corrections Probation & Parole programs, which are dedicated to community protection, accountability, rehabilitation facilitation, and fostering partnerships.
Specifically, we have observed the following issues with [REDACTED] behavior:
1. Unjust Tactics: Concerns have been raised about [REDACTED] tactics, which appear to be unjust and not in line with the values of discretion and equality. His actions seem to prioritize personal objectives over the well-being of individuals under his supervision. His use of intimidation involves threats, instilling fear, and coercion, which are forms of psychological and emotional abuse used to control and manipulate individuals.
2. Excessive Monitoring: Concerns have been raised about [REDACTED] behavior of sitting outside of houses for hours and conducting house checks at unreasonable hours, disrupting children and family members in the home. This raises questions about his motivations and whether this aligns with the principles of community protection and rehabilitation facilitation.
3. Disrupting Positive Relationships: Numerous reports indicate that [REDACTED] actions have continuously disrupted positive relationships among individuals who, like all of us, have flaws and deserve a chance for rehabilitation and reintegration into society. This includes, but is not limited to, personal, family, and work relationships. The breakdown of such relationships is harmful to our community.
4. Inappropriate Personal Conduct: We are deeply troubled by the fact that [REDACTED] wears a bulletproof vest and carries a gun 24/7, which raises concerns about the atmosphere he creates and the level of fear this may instill in individuals seeking rehabilitation. He does not take into consideration his probationers individual circumstances, such as family responsibilities, employment status, or mental health issues. Furthermore, his use of retaliation against anyone who tries to assert their rights or report his misconduct has hindered individuals from coming forward about his concerning behaviors.
5. Unfair Judgement: Reports suggest that [REDACTED] makes decisions based on personal bias rather than objective criteria. He has a history of unfairly judging people based on his own opinions and taking the word of individuals with a criminal history over positive members of the community.
6. Boasting About Violations: It is alarming that [REDACTED] is known for bragging about how he is renowned for giving violations, which may indicate a focus on punitive measures rather than rehabilitation.
7. Complaints Filed: It has come to our attention that multiple complaints have been filed against Probation Officer [REDACTED], further underscoring the need for a thorough investigation into his actions.
8. Workplace Relations: We have learned that [REDACTED] is widely disliked by most of his colleagues, primarily composed of mental health and recovery counselors. This suggests a troubling work environment that may negatively impact the quality of rehabilitation services provided.
9. Parental Concerns: It has come to our attention that [REDACTED] has a son who is a convicted felon and involved in illegal drug activities, which raises concerns about his ability to provide effective guidance and rehabilitation to others when his own family situation is problematic.

Our community deserves a probation officer who fosters unity, demonstrates moral regard for the lives of those under his supervision, and genuinely aims to help individuals rather than boasting about violations.
We call upon the relevant authorities to:
1. Conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the allegations against Probation Officer [REDACTED], ensuring that all parties involved have the opportunity to voice their concerns. We request transparency in the investigation process and regular updates on its progress.
