Terminate the YouTube Channel of "Brian Lature" for Child Exploitation

The Issue

As someone who is deeply concerned about the exploitation and welfare of children on social media platforms, I couldn't help but notice some disconcerting practices on the YouTube channel of "Brian Lature". The YouTube algorithm has brought their channel to my notice multiple times revealing some discomfiting content involving their toddler.

In one of the videos, their toddler is heard using inappropriate language freely at a beach, unrebuked by her parents. They also regularly record her during private moments like meals and bath time, grossly invading her privacy. Perhaps most concerning is a video that presents a visibly distressed child being told to “share”, the crying child is abruptly cut off to another clip where she isn’t crying.

All of these instances point towards a troubling pattern of exploiting the child for views and likes. This exploitation could potentially leave a lasting impact on the child, even more so when it's done for something as trivial as online fame. According to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), children exposed to attention-seeking behaviors can experience a gamut of issues from on-screen exposure, least of which is spending an unhealthy amount of time on screens at a young age.

Also, in one of their videos, named “yucky peas” there is a video of the toddler but when she was a baby, the baby felt uncontrollable all of the sudden, and then the dad wiggles the food into the babies mouth, even though the baby feels uncomfortable, not only that, but at the end of the clip, you can hear the dad say “hahaha-“ but that got cut. Here is the yucky peas link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjX_VjBD3Hs

We believe that YouTube, as a platform, should protect the rights and privacies of children. We call for the termination of the "Brian Lature" channel to set a precedent that child exploitation will not be tolerated. Please sign this petition to impress upon YouTube the urgency of this matter. We thank you if you sign this petition.
