The people of Palestine are being cleansed with bombs purchased out of our money. Punjab’s tax revenues are linked to trade with an apartheid state through agricultural and technological trade. 

In 2017, Punjab and Israel inaugurated a Center of Excellence for Vegetables in Kartarpur, Jalandhar, under a bilateral agreement to promote vegetable farming techniques and train local farmers.

In 2018, Punjab's government signed four key MoUs with Israel focused on agriculture and water management during Chief Minister Amarinder Singh’s visit to Israel. This involved using Israel's help in training AI technology for crop projections, giving away information to the state of Israel without farmers' assent. 

In 2023, another MoU was signed between Punjab’s Water Resources Department and Mekorot, aiming to further enhance water management capabilities. This included developing a more advanced water conservation model through Israel's technology.

All of these memorandums pour money straight into Netanyahu's blood-stained pockets.

We have faced the threat of an ethnic cleansing before. We are not to be associated with the destruction of a people. 

If these MoUs continue, Punjab loses its moral integrity and agricultural stability. The people of Palestine lose their lives. Replacing these with partnerships from humanitarian nations will reinforce our values and end our involvement in genocide.

Our farmers deserve better. More stability, less farm fires from the efflux of resources. The people of Palestine deserve better. Sovereignty and the right to live without the threat of extinction.

Acting immediately will show our commitment to justice, strengthen our supply chain, and set a lasting example that growth need not sacrifice morality.
