It is with a heavy heart and a sense of urgency that I write this petition, as my experience in Mr. Jacob Villafana's classroom has been a significant detriment to my education and the education of my peers. I have always been passionate about learning and acquiring new skills, and I enrolled in the French program at my school with great anticipation and enthusiasm. Unfortunately, Mr. Villafana's lack of competency as a teacher has left me disheartened and worried about my academic future.

Since the beginning of the academic year, I have observed numerous instances of disorganization, ineffective teaching methods, and a general lack of concern for student engagement from Mr. Villafana. His lessons often lack structure, veering off-topic and leaving students confused and unprepared for exams. Many classmates, particularly those new to French or struggling with the rigorous demands of IB, find themselves lost in his classes. Mr. Villafana's inability to provide clear instructions or constructive feedback has made it nearly impossible to grasp crucial concepts, which is especially alarming given the importance of these courses in shaping our careers.

Moreover, communication with Mr. Villafana has been a challenge. His explanations are inadequate and students often find themselves asking for Madame TenBroek's help in French. I am not alone in this sentiment. Numerous students and their parents have expressed similar frustrations. This is not a sustainable solution and is unfair to students who depend on our school to provide a quality education.

It is imperative that the administration takes immediate action to address this ongoing issue. Dismissing Jacob Villafana from his current teaching position would not only enhance the learning environment but would also ensure that students receive the quality education they deserve. Replacing him with a qualified educator who is committed to fostering a positive and effective learning experience is an actionable and necessary step.
