Terminate All Puppy and Cat Mills Without Delay

Terminate All Puppy and Cat Mills Without Delay
The Issue
Our pets often become an integral part of our family, their welfare impacting us greatly. This petition has taken root from the heartbreaking story of a friend's father who adopted a dog from a puppy mill. The poor girl was a wreck - she was only able to sleep in a crate far too small for her, constantly shaking, unable to directly look at a person. This is not an isolated incident but a stark portrayal of the broader issue.
Puppy mills and cat mills are commercial breeding facilities that prioritize profit over the health and well-being of the animals. According to the Humane Society of the United States, an estimated 10,000 puppy mills produce more than 2.4 million puppies each year. These animals often live in squalid conditions, which leads to serious health problems and behavioral issues.
Moreover, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) states that continuous breeding and lack of sufficient veterinary care result in the mothers facing serious health issues. When they can no longer breed, they are discarded.
We call for an immediate end to all puppy and cat mills in our country. The time has come for us to assume responsibility and ensure that our practices do not induce harm, but rather uphold the respect and care that these animals deserve. Please, consider this appeal. Sign the petition to terminate all puppy and cat mills without delay.
