All across the nation, there is an epidemic of sex offenders and pedophiles that are allowed to live with or see their biological child(ren). They are also allowed to communicate to them by phone, text, social media, letters, and gifts. This presents more harm than good for the child(ren). This can and has cause children to be or become a victim of a sex offenders in the past. We are supposed to protect our children. How can the fit parent protect the child(ren) from a pedophile if the pedophile still has their parental rights to the child(ren)?

If the law is changed that sex offenders (pedophiles) lose their parental rights, it will further aid in the safety and well being of all children. Also, with the change of the law, it can help children grow up with some form of innocence intact from emotional, physical, and mental trauma. We as a state and nation need to put the priority of the children's safety above a pedophile's parental rights to them. All children, whether they are a child of a sex offender or not, deserve to be protected.

If the law does not change, not only my daughter's life, but every child's life is in jeopardy of harm. It will and has caused chaos for the fit parent or guardian to have the power to protect the child (ren). If it is not changed, more children will fall victim to sexual crimes due to predators.

This petition is to protect ALL children. The children of WV and this Nation deserve the protection from all who are demented enough to prey on these precious young ones. This is a mother's cry out for help to all who will and can support this cause. Every child is precious and important. They are the next generation of this great nation.  Children are the heritage of God (Psalms 127:3).

Petition to terminate a pedophile’s parental rights

during the January 2026 Legislative Session

We, the undersigned eligible voters of these United States of America, petition the West Virginia Legislature to bring forth and pass a bill during the 2026 legislative session to terminate a pedophile’s parental rights. 

As of the end of 2025, pedophiles have their parental right to contact their child(ren) under the age of 18. They are allowed to contact their child(ren) by letters, cards, pictures, phone calls, texting, email, social media etc. Through this contact, pedophiles can send anything they want; including inappropriate material. We are asking and pleading for you to make this a bill and get it passed in the 2026 legislative session. The children of the state of West Virginia and the other 49 states need to be protected from pedophiles at all costs.
