Terminal Brain Cancer patient needs her Heart home

The Issue

Hello! My name is Liane. I’m 44 and was diagnosed with a terminal brain cancer called Anaplastic Meningioma WHO grade III in April of 2020. I was given a year and half to five years to live. Well, now that 2 years have gone by, it could happen anytime. If I live past the current three years remaining, it’d be considered a miracle. However, the miracle I’m asking from you is to help bring my husband home.

My husband, Dean, is currently serving time in the Colorado State Department of Corrections and has served 17 years to date. We filed for clemency back in March of 2020 (before we knew about the cancer) for a reduction in his sentence and the current status update is that “it’s been reviewed and awaiting a decision.” Two years has passed, and we are still waiting for a decision. I am running out of time with my health declining and constant daily pain. I no longer am undergoing treatment, because it’s terminal it hasn’t benefited my health in any way. I believe that the best treatment for me at this point is to have my husband home so that we can enjoy each other as my days on this earth are coming to an end.

Please sign our petition so we can push the Colorado Clemency Board to review and decide with compassion on his clemency that we filed two years ago and/or so we can file for Compassionate Release. I have loved my husband since we were 14. I need my Heart home with me to help heal me and love me. Thank you for taking the time to read and by signing below.
