Seeing how the Supreme Court has become so politically polarized has been a major factor in this petition. The fact that it’s a lifetime appointment for these justices is absurd. Times change, societal opinions change, as they should, it’s called evolution, not de-evolution. That is where we are headed as a country. We are devolving, going back in time if you will. They do not represent the people anymore, they do not represent what we as a society want to become. Today is a sad day for America, and for millions of women out there that have had their rights taken away by the overturning of roe v wade. While other countries around the world are expanding abortion rights, a small minority of people are holding us hostage. This court is responsible for the pain, suffering and and downright confusion their own actions have caused. We need to have term limits, a maximum of 2 terms of not more than 4 years a term. This will ensure our society can grow and evolve with laws in place that work WITH the people and not against them.
