TN Code § 39-14-217 Aggravated cruelty to livestock needs to include
"Failure to provide adequate food or water which results in the death of an animal"
Horse Haven of Tennessee is pushing for tougher laws after the death of a 15-month-old colt named Pugsley.
He was starved most of his short life, his body covered in sores and he could barely stand on his own. He was so neglected and malnourished that he wasn't able to be saved.
Pugsley isn't the first and won't be the last which is the reason we are pushing for “Pugsley Law” which would make it a felony to starve horses to death.
As we get ready to start a new year in Nashville we would like to reach more Tennessee voters by adding their names and support to this bill. PLEASE, won't you share with others and encourage them to sign so we can reach our goal of 10,000? Thank you.
