We are a group of East Tennesseans who are petitioning to remove the “Don’t tread on me” custom Tennessee license plate. We noticed that the logo was used on many flags during the January 6, 2021 Washington DC riot. We believe that the logo has been overtaken and is now being used by many white supremacist groups. We do not feel that Tennessee should be affiliated with such groups because it does not reflect the diversity of our state. We are asking state officials to remove it from available custom license plates. Thank you for your signature and support.
