Reduce Temple University's Tuition to Reflect Remote Learning

The Issue

As young adults seeking higher education we expect our institutions to respect us as we respect them. During these unpredictable times we all understand that things are tough, but we cannot stand to be taken advantage of. Temple University has frivolously wasted our dollars in order to prepare the campus for in-person instruction, but had to change course due to inadequate availability for testing and other factors that contributed to a rise of cases within our community. The lack of up to date information from the president and administration is unacceptable as we students seek for our Campus’ leaders to guide, lead, help and most importantly treat us fairly during this difficult and uncertain semester. Nevertheless, not only has it been proven, but I’m sure everyone can attest to the fact that online learning is not as robust as in person classes and cannot be valued at the same level. That being said, we ask Temple University to appropriately adjust the cost of tuition as other institutions have already and refund those who’ve already bit the bullet and paid fully priced tuition for lesser quality online classes. Please share this post and follow the page for updates as we look to organize as a student body and seek fair treatment from Temple University.
