Petition updateTell Tyson Foods to Stop Torturing AnimalsANOTHER Tyson Farm Caught Torturing Chickens—With Clubs and Nails!

Mercy For Animals
Aug 27, 2015
Only one month after a shocking Mercy For Animals undercover video blew the lid off Tyson Foods’ egregious cruelty to chickens, ANOTHER hidden-camera investigation (http://McDonaldsCruelty.com) has exposed Tyson’s malicious abuse of birds. Video from this farm—a McDonald’s Chicken McNugget supplier—revealed disturbing acts of violence, including:
• Birds painfully beaten, stabbed, and impaled on makeshift clubs spiked with nails and then thrown into buckets to slowly die
• Factory farm owners stepping on the heads of live chickens and then pulling their wings or bodies to break their necks
• Chickens bred to grow so fast they became crippled under their own weight and frequently died from organ failure
• Hundreds of thousands of birds crammed into filthy, windowless sheds forced to live for weeks in their own waste
Despite the despicable culture of cruelty and neglect pervasive at the farm as shown in the video, Tyson awarded T & S Farm the title “Grower of the Year” four years in a row.
Tyson’s website boasts about its current animal welfare program, yet its internal auditing system has clearly failed to work. Yet again, MFA has had to alert the company to the animal abuse occurring in its own factory farm. As the world’s largest meat producer, Tyson has the power, and ethical responsibility, to make meaningful animal welfare changes for chickens.
Here’s how you can help:
• Ask Tyson to stop torturing chickens on Facebook (https://Facebook.com/TysonFoods) and Twitter (http://Bit.ly/TysonTorturesChickens)
• Sign the petition demanding McDonald’s, one of Tyson’s largest customers, require its suppliers to implement meaningful animal welfare improvements to reduce the suffering of birds (http://Change.org/McDonaldsCruelty)
Of course, the best way to help chickens, and all farmed animals, is by choosing healthy and humane vegan foods. Order your FREE Vegetarian Starter Guide now: http://ChooseVeg.com.
