Today, on International Respect for Chickens Day, we’re relaunching our website, ChickenIndustry.com, to shine a light on the miseries forced upon billions of birds raised for the meat and to highlight the changes that are starting to be made -- and how you can help keep up this momentum.
Did you know that chickens communicate with 24 different vocalizations? Or that on the day they’re hatched, chicks can already differentiate between quantities? Our new site takes you into the hidden lives of these remarkable animals.
After COK’s investigation of Tyson Foods exposed the horrific practice of nose “boning” last year, thousands of you flocked to our petition to urge the company to address the root of the problem and stop starving birds.
Consumers nationwide are now ruffling the feathers of America’s favorite brands, and eateries like Subway, Chipotle, and Ruby Tuesday are listening, but it’s up to consumers to urge major poultry companies like Tyson to change.
Please visit ChickenIndustry.com, then continue sharing this petition to help improve the lives of billions of birds.
