Fact: FDA makes drug companies poison beagles.
Fact: 20K lives/year. No pain relief. No anesthesia.
Fact: Drug companies don’t want to do it. FDA red tape forces them to.
So why did the FDA just tell this little red lie to the media!?
“The FDA does not mandate that human drugs be studied in dogs.”
It’s outrageous. So I need your immediate help to hold her accountable… and #CutFDARedTape!
HOLD HER ACCOUNTABLE: https://ctt.ac/m8Hy7
Every year, the FDA is forcing drug makers to torture 20,000 beagle puppies in painful, expensive, slow, and wasteful tests… and punishing drug makers that want to avoid it.
I know something about this.
I personally worked for months (often without sleep!) on White Coat Waste Project’s new investigative report, “Broken Bureaucracy.”
And, I personally analyzed 20 years of drug applications from pharmaceutical makers– i.e., the industry’s own words, PROVING what FDA forces them to do for regulatory approval!
Well, I’m proud our investigation caught fire… and I’m fired up that it caught the attention of powerful Democrats and Republicans on Capitol Hill!
BUT NOW THE FDA IS LYING ABOUT IT!
And I really need your help to hold Commissioner Woodcock accountable for FDA’s little red lie.
So will you spare just 20 seconds to help me save 20,000 lives?
TAKE ACTION: Follow this link to tweet a prewritten message directly to FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock, demanding she cut red tape and abolish the wasteful puppy testing mandate.
Thank you!
