I hope you are well. Unfortunately, I’m not. Today I’m writing you with an upsetting update.
Last week, my team of investigators discovered the Dept. of Veterans Affairs secretly opened a brand-new dog lab at its St. Louis, MO laboratory.
These organ-harvesting experiments entail ripping out the beating hearts of 6-month-old puppies… while they are still alive. Of course, they die immediately afterward.
So far, this secret VA lab has taken the lives of 32 innocent puppies, and cost taxpayers almost $650,000.
Just a couple days ago, thanks to your advocacy and support, we successfully won the full House of Representatives vote to de-fund VA dog testing… ALL of it.
Although that’s a very important step in the right direction, it won’t mean anything unless we also pass the Senate… but that’s proving to be much more difficult than we anticipated.
You see, pro-dog testing lobbyists are fighting tooth and nail (and spending a boatload of $$$) to convince Senators to squash our bill, and to keep the VA dog labs flush with your tax money.
If we lose this vote, the organ-harvesting experiments in St. Louis could be the first of many new and disturbing dog labs to pop up across the country.
So here’s the issue: we didn’t anticipate finding this secretive lab in St. Louis, and don’t have it in the budget to shut that down AND fend off attacks from pro-dog testing white coats.
Our funds for this campaign are quickly being depleted. If we don’t raise another $40,000 within the next week or so, we can’t afford to fight back, and we will lose…
… and that’s exactly what the pro-animal testing lobby is counting on.
But if we can restore our campaign budget, I know we can win this fight, and save ALL the puppies stuck in VA laboratories. We have many times before.
So I have to ask… if you can afford to do so, will you rush a special donation right now?
Here’s a secure, personal link for you to make an urgent donation and support this effort: https://bit.ly/3jY8VQL
My team and I have poured our hearts and souls into this campaign… and I know you have, too.
I don’t want to have to write you again to tell you we lost, especially when we can prevent it.
Sincerely,
Anthony Bellotti

P.S. The majority of our campaign funding comes from online, grassroots donations in response to appeals like these. The puppies in St. Louis depend on these gifts… and you! Please consider rushing your most generous donation so we can sustain our campaign against the VA.
