For almost fifty years, Dr. David Carpenter has spoken truth to power about environmental toxins and their impact on human health. His position as former director of the Institute for Health and Environment at UAlbany's School of Public Health has helped him nurture a new generation of scientists and researchers while he provides expert testimony in court cases against big corporations.

One of those corporations is the Monsanto Company, now owned by Bayer. Their lawyers don't like Dr. Carpenter, and they're trying to ruin his reputation and stop him from testifying in court cases like the ones that have already cost Monsanto tens of millions of dollars in damages. 

Incredibly, instead of defending its world-renowned faculty member in the name of scientific integrity, the University at Albany is punishing Dr. Carpenter, forbidding him to enter the campus or teach his students. They've kept him out of the classroom and off campus for 8 months!

Is this the example SUNY and the University want to set for students - that big corporations have to be obeyed, and that the NY State educational system has no ethical principles to defend?
