Petition updateTell the Town of Nahant, MA, to Call Off the Killing of CoyotesAttend the Virtual Selectmen's Meeting Tomorrow Night, Wednesday, December 21

During Public Comment time, ask:

  • Where's the public safety threat if no animal incidents have occurred since June/early July? ( which was during the coyotes' pupping season, when they're protective, and people may have been walking dogs near their dens)
  • Where's the public safety threat if no humans have been assaulted or bitten or otherwise attacked?
  • Where's the public safety threat if police easily dispersed coyotes, two months ago, who were said to be "too close" to a person on Short Beach?
  • As there seems to be no immediate public safety threat, where is the harm in allowing a team of experts to recondition the coyotes for free?
  • Why would you rather kill coyotes than change their behavior and the human behavior that caused them to increase their tolerance to humans?
