The Republican Party’s 2016 Platform is bursting with egregious attacks on the environment and environmental programs, but one of the most dangerous lines in the entire party platform calls coal “clean energy.”

After years of innovation, clean energy like wind and solar are on pace to replace coal while providing a boom to the economy and helping to reduce dangerous carbon pollution that fuels climate change. Donald Trump might dig coal, but a clean energy America doesn’t.
