Caps on political donations are urgently needed to ensure public interests are not at risk of being lost to private interests.

As we know with Toondah Harbour, Walker Corporation donated $225,000 to the federal Liberal Party and $23,000 to Queensland Labor during the approvals process. 

The attached article reveals ‘the property industry led the list of business sectors donating to both parties, giving $37.4 million to Labor and $53.1 million to the Coalition, but the study by the Centre for Public Integrity, an independent organisation, concludes that too many other donations are being hidden.
