This concise Queensland Wader Study Group (QWSG) Position Statement to all three levels of government tells them exactly why they have to stop the Toondah development. 

It calls on the Federal Government to protect internationally significant coastal marine habitat for migratory shorebirds and the State to withdraw the area’s Priority Development status.

It supports sustainable development at the ferry terminal area but not the loss of 44 ha of marine habitat, wider impacts on the bay from disturbance and the failure to respect RAMSAR.
