The longer the non-transparent Toondah Harbour development approval process drags on the more it reveals about the influence Walker has tried to wield and how responsible Ministers have overridden legal and departmental advice to assist them.
This includes advice from the Federal Environment and Attorney-General’s departments, that placing 3000+ private units and a marina over 42 ha (at least 75 football fields) of an internationally significant Ramsar wetland is unacceptable and would cause irreversible damage.
Meanwhile all of us, who don’t have the same access to Ministerial decision makers have been largely shut out of this process, in spite of it being on public land that we will no longer be able to access.
It’s disgraceful that we still have to fight to stop this concrete catastrophe when it’s clear it’s devastating impacts will threaten Moreton Bay’s ecology forever.
Welcome to the 10,000 + new petition crew. Thank you. Together, Team Toondah, can still save Moreton Bay.
