The Walker Corporation is required to hear community views on their proposed development over public RAMSAR wetland as part of the Envoronmental Impact Statement (EIiS) process.

Instead of an independent EIS review, Walker also gets to compile and submit the EIS after feedback on the draft guidelines they propose as part of the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 approval requirements.

So we can lodge our protest, please email Walker or drop in to Cleveland (Friday 4-7pm) ) or Dunwich next Saturday and let them know this development has to go.

Feel free to use Save Straddie's 20 Reasons to Scrap the Toondah plan, linked below or send Walker an email linking these reasons and/or others. Send to toondah@walkercorp.com.au (please send a copy to contact@savestraddie.com)

You can also drop off a letter (keep a copy) at one of Walker's two "drop in" sessions, next Friday at Cleveland, or next Saturday at Dunwich on North Stradbroke Island. For times and places, see last para of the article in the second link.
