Today I am ashamed to call myself one of Susan Collins's constituents.

Her quote yesterday stating that it is "not fair" to Brett Kavanaugh if Dr. Christine Blasey Ford doesn't testify on the Senate Judicial Committee's ultimative terms is a disgrace.

The ONLY ethical move in this scenario is to slow down this process and hear testimony from both parties on terms that they both agree to - for the benefit of BOTH parties. Including a full investigation by the FBI into the very serious allegation of sexual assault. It is unconscionable that anyone be granted a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court and allowed to impact the tone of our highest court for decades to come, if there is compelling evidence that this crime was in fact committed.

Shame on you Senator Collins - and all of our senators - who have suggested that anything less than as complete a resolution of the facts as possible is acceptable.

I encourage everyone to call the senators on the Senate Judicial Committee and demand that the testimony of both Dr. Ford and Judge Kavanaugh be postponed until the FBI is able to investigate the sexual assault allegation.
