I don't know about you, but its Back to School week here in Maine and between packing the lunches, getting the supplies, and figuring out our new routine, my husband and I barely have a moment to breathe! So let's keep this short, but sweet:

It's Hearing Week.

This week our senators begin the official process of determining whether Brett Kavanaugh should be the next lifetime appointee to the Supreme Court.

Let's be clear: We do NOT need a hearing to know that appointing Brett Kavanaugh would be the most devastating blow to our reproductive rights in decades. Probably ever.

We've called, we've emailed, we've signed petitions - and yet Senator Susan Collins, a longtime supporter of access to safe and legal abortion, still seems set to vote to confirm Kavanaugh. Well the citizens of Maine have had enough and are moving quickly to try a new tactic: funding Senator Collins' future 2020 opponent IF she votes to confirm Kavanaugh.

Pledge any amount (I'm personally loving the $20.20 option) to the CrowdSource account. If Senator Collins votes against Kavanaugh's nomination, your card is never charged. If she votes for the nomination, your money will go directly to fund her 2020 opponent once identified. I personally know several of the women who created this campaign and can vouch that this process will go down exactly as stated!

So take 2 minutes out of this busy time and use your hard-earned dollars to show Senator Collins we mean business.  She can be the hero or she can be the villain - its her choice.  But either way, we will not forget.
