It's time for Bingham County Sheriff Craig Rowland to resign. His conduct is outrageously unprofessional and a danger to the public he's sworn to serve. Sheriff Rowland has made national news multiple time with his egregious attitude toward women, and now he's chosen to excuse the violence he alone perpetrated against a LDS woman and young girls by using a racist trope to disparage Native Americans in our community. His behavior and attitude is a danger to the public. He should never be allowed in a position of authority holding these clear prejudices. 

The victims of his misconduct will live with the trauma forever. The mistrust he's created toward our neighbors by disparaging Shoshone-Bannock peoples cannot be fixed with backhanded apologies.
