I used to purchase Seventh Generation products for my family because the company doesn’t test its products on animals, but I was shocked to learn that they are calling for chemical reform legislation that, if passed as it is written now, will increase animal testing in the U.S. Please join me in asking the company to stop promoting tests on animals!

Seventh Generation markets its products as cruelty-free and enjoys support from caring consumers like me, but the company is also supporting changes to the Toxic Substances Control Act that will result in millions of animals being stuffed in gas chambers or having chemicals pumped into their stomachs in poisoning experiments, and these don’t even protect people.

Seventh Generation needs to know that compassionate people will not continue to buy its products or support the company until it stops promoting animal tests. Their slogan claims the company is “Caring today for seven generations of tomorrows,” yet Seventh Generation turns a blind eye to the many generations of animals who will suffer in laboratories if this legislation is passed as currently written.

Until the company changes its ways, I’ll be stocking my home with products from companies like Method and Meyer’s.
