Tell Seton Hall University - LGBT Housing Discrimination is Wrong
The Issue
Jesse Cruz is a junior at Seton Hall University who was assigned to a double room, but was moved after his roommate complained that he didn't want to live with a gay person. He refused to move because he felt discriminated against and was displaced and without a room for over two weeks just for being gay. He was only able to move back into his room after his attorney threatened legal action against the university for discriminating against him based on his sexual orientation, and is now suing the university for discrimination to make sure that this kind of terrible behavior does not happen to another student ever again.
Urge Seton Hall University to issue a statement regarding this issue and promise that they will adopt better methods to help reduce incidences of LGBT discrimination by staff.
