Throughout history, Americans have fought and died for our right to vote. We've made significant progress, but even today there are unprecedented efforts to limit voting rights.

In the last few years, Republicans have dramatically stepped up their efforts to limit voting access. Republican legislators continue to push through harsh voter ID laws, cut back early-voting hours, and eliminate same-day voter registration.

And it is no coincidence that these restrictions disproportionately impact communities of color, low-income voters, students, and the elderly.

Republicans say they are building these obstacles to prevent voter fraud – but the evidence doesn’t back that up. So their efforts are transparent - as usual, the GOP is more motivated by their partisan interests than by doing what is right for all Americans.

But the good news is that Democrats believe our democracy works best when all of our voices are heard.  That’s the reason we are working to protect and expand voting rights for all eligible voters in every state. But this fight won’t be easy – we’ll need you with us. Together, we must make sure that Republican attacks on voting rights don’t go unchallenged.
