It's the DARK AGES there at times of great societal modernization across the globe. We as consumers can do what President Obama cannot: promise to not buy (or avoid whenever possible) something "made in China" for at least two months. Check the labels, and tell the sales clerk to tell the manager exactly why. "Well, I always avoid buying things made in China, for their human rights, women's rights and environmental abuses."
