Tell PetSmart To Stop Doing Business With A Fake "No Kill" Animal Rescue

Tell PetSmart To Stop Doing Business With A Fake "No Kill" Animal Rescue
The Issue
Thousands of animals have been euthanized in Maryland after being turned over to Last Chance Animal Rescue, a non profit rescue claiming to be a "No Kill" Rescue. Cindy Sharply, the owner, has been dealing with Pet Smart for years and has pets in the store up for adoption and her rescue is collecting the adoption fees. Many people are adopting out sick pets and many pets dying shortly after the adoption.
Many people with a sincere wish to adopt animals are unsuspecting of what condition these animals are in. They are reaching out online and google reviews in attempt to stop the abuse and false claims of being a "No Kill" with no satisfaction. Thousands of animals are being neglected and this must stop.
Maryland officials are aware of the theft by deception whereby Last Chance Animal Rescue is taking donations from pet owners deceiving them into thinking they are finding homes and thousands are being taken to the shelter to be euthanized. Authorities are allowing this to continue. This must stop and we must create awareness to put Last Chance Animal Rescue on notice that they can't continue to deceive the public and kill animals.
Kittens as young as 5 weeks old are being euthanized. PetSmart is adopting out Last Chance Animal Rescue animals that are very ill.
Last Chance Animal Rescue Google Reviews
Torina Collis met Cindy Sharply, the owner of the 501(c) Last Chance Animal Rescue in 2011 when she was looking for a rescue to assist her with a colony of cats. Cindy told Torina that she would take 7 or so cats to her mother's barn and that they would be taken care of. Torina made it clear she did not want them to be euthanized. The same day, some of the spayed and neutered beautiful cats were taken to the shelter and euthanized. Torina found out later by an employee that left.
Torina was devastated. The ex employee told Torina that there are so many people involved that it can't be stopped. Torina has been fighting for justice since 2011 and seriously retaliated against for bringing the issues to light.
Torina also found that PetSmart was actually adopting out LCAR's animals. Torina informed PetSmart of the killings of her animals and through the Freedom of Information Act discovered hundreds in one year were euthanized. That was in 2011-2012. Since then, it still continues.
Torina vows to get her cats justice and help save the lives of many more. For documentation of the euthanization of hundreds of animals from a so called "No Kill" Rescue, Torina has listed them on her site.
