The Issue

At this time, the hit Peacock show TED has not been renewed for a third season, despite being the #1 most-watched original series on Peacock in the United States and ranking in the Top 10 internationally on HBO Max. It is also among the Top 10 TV shows on Apple TV in Canada and the U.S.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting Season 2 and the beloved show was received with a lot of praise due to it's well-written story, a talented cast, and critical acclaim. It seems the show has truly come into it's own and captured the hearts of audiences everywhere. However, the beloved show is in danger of ending prematurely. According to a recent Variety article, Seth MacFarlane confirmed that high CGI production costs are the main reason the show has not been renewed, opting to fund a animated series set after the events of the second Ted movie. Many fans were disappointed to find this out as fans have grown satisfied with the TV series viewing it as an improvement in the franchise.

For these reasons we, the fans, urge Peacock and Universal to continue working alongside the TED team to produce Season 3 of the series. Doing so would honor the loyal fanbase, reward the talented cast and crew, and continue a franchise that has brought joy to millions of viewers. Let's 💥 #RenewTed and keep our favorite thunderbuddy on the air for good.
