Tell Paul Ryan to Stop Blocking Action on Climate Change
Congressman Paul Ryan accused the 97% of climate scientists who agree that man-made climate change is real of “intentionally mislead[ing] the public on the issue of climate change.” What’s more, he has repeatedly voted to assault clean energy and water while simultaneously backing billions of dollars in subsidies to Big Oil and dirty energy.
Congressman Ryan also supports construction of the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline, an “all risk but no reward” pipeline that would transfer the world’s dirtiest oil right through the American heartland, threatening the air we breathe and the water we drink.
Sign our petition to tell Paul Ryan to accept the reality of climate change and start voting for our health and the environment, not Big Oil!
As a constituent, I urge you to protect our nation’s well-being by safeguarding our environment from the harmful effects of climate change. Man-made global warming is real, and it’s time to stop denying it.
America is experiencing the effects of climate change as we suffer from increasingly extreme weather and the skyrocketing costs for disaster recovery. As a member of Congress you have the power and the responsibility to take action to curb global warming and protect our planet for future generations.
To slow the effects of climate change, our government needs to be investing in a clean energy future, not in dirty energy projects like the Keystone XL pipeline. Please listen to the wisdom of 97% of climate scientists and stand up for our health, our environment, and our future by addressing climate change now.
