Normandie Court is a luxury apartment complex in NYC at 225 E 95th St, New York, NY 10128. Recently, they have put up netting on the building scaffolding to keep away birds, but in doing so have trapped birds inside the netting that were residing there, without any way to leave. With birds being trapped in and by the netting, many have died, and more are injured and dying. There are even baby birds trapped inside whose bird parents are unable to reach because of the netting. Wild Bird Fund, NYC's only wildlife rehabiliation center, has called this cruel and inhumane. Any attempts to reason with the building owner to take down the netting or to even temporarily remove the netting so rescues can occur, have not been fruitful. There is no urgency or empathy from the building owners, and so more drastic measures need to be taken to prevent more needless bird deaths. Please sign and share this petition.
