While we are now getting support from our Japanese friends in the Diet, allies debunking MasterCard's lies, VTubers calling out the hypocrisy of unjust government acts, and people standing up for anti-censorship, there is some troubling news.
The Secretary-General of the United Nations has openly called for more aggressive censorship of the internet, citing the rise of so-called "hate speech" and "misinformation." While these terms are often used to justify sweeping crackdowns, history shows us that such language is frequently abused to silence dissenting voices, creative expression, and even satire.
This is not just rhetoric. The UN is now urging governments and tech companies alike to take coordinated action to police online content—a move that could result in globalized censorship mechanisms where government bodies dictate what you can and cannot say, watch, or share.
We must be clear:
This is not about protecting people.
This is about controlling narratives.
If Global authorities are allowed to determine what is “true” or “safe,” we lose the core freedoms that make open discourse, democracy, and artistic freedom possible.
Make no mistake—this affects fictional media, independent creators, alternative news outlets, and everyday users who simply want to express themselves freely.
We reject the notion that global censorship is the solution to online challenges.
We stand for the right to speak, create, and engage with ideas—even controversial ones—without fear of erasure or punishment.
We urge all our supporters to share this petition far and wide. The time to act is now. Silence will only allow those in power to tighten their grip.
Free speech is not a privilege—IT IS A RIGHT.
Let’s remind them of that.
Thank you for sharing this petition and standing with us
