I bought a ferret from Petco because of misinformation put out about where/ how you can buy ferrets. I thought you could only get them from Marshalls ferret mill.
We got a sweet little girl that had neurological and/or heart issues right away. She would be in mid sleep and wake up and run out of her sleep pouch and freak out and scratch herself. It was so startling. I didn’t know if that’s what they do normally or not. Looking back it was not  normal. She was only 4 years old. She could live to 9. She ended up doing odd things at the end and I was about to take her to the vet, unfortunately it was too late. She died. I started reading about how Marshall’s ferrets are over bread with genetically defective lines. They put out a disclaimer that says they only sell ferrets free of genetic defects. It’s hard to prove so they probably have an easy time warding off lawsuits.  

We need to bring attention to them and there terrible tactics because these beautiful animals are so unique and sweet and loving, THEY DESERVE BETTER! Also calling out PETCO to stop buying their ferrets from marshalls. Get them fron responsible breaders  

I just found out they supply the labs that use ferrets to study Covid and other terrible viruses  these are such smart fun loving animals  this has to STOP! it’s actually a world wide company!!!

I am so distraught about her death and realizing that Marshall’s puts out so many of these ferrets to die young and have many harmful painful issue they have to live with. Most need expensive surgeries because of this mal breading practice.
Please support my little Carly and others like her who are suffering for profit. They also truck these critters around in hot trucks across the country. Many probably die from this. They are babies.  Please take a moment and sign! I think we can make a difference. I’m doing it for Carly!
